need something

Ok..So everyone knows that I work from home. Well, I feel like I need to get out at least one day a week . I have all the paperwork in to be a volunteer for PAI which would be perfect for me. So I talked with the director, and I am going in every Wed. Now I have a reason to get up and get out. I am looking forward to doing that. I have also decided to join the Stillwater Senior Citizen Center. Maybe I can do something there one day a week.
It is very interesting. People think it is so great not to have to go to work outside the home every day. Well it isn't all it sounds like. I do enjoy being able to do what I want to do, but I would like to have somewhere to go everyday. Hope this volunteer thing works out. I am going to volunteer for Winter Carnival this year.
This weekend is Rylie Barilla's baptism. I will try to get some pics and show you what a cutie she is.
My granddaughter Kelyn got her braces off today. She looks so beautiful.
I am making some cute Christmas ornaments. Knitting. Will take pics of those things too.

We had a family get together last night to celebrate Larry's 29th birthday and Joe's birthday. Had a big dinner with all the "kids". I miss having a full house.
I have been knitting a lot. Have another dr. appt November 20something. That is still stressful for me. Having a few concerns, but not serious.
Well, have a great week. Yay..Vikings....number one. Will try to do a video next time so everyone can see how great my hair is growing back. Before I go in for my first haircut. Love to all.

what's happening

Well, since my Dec post, we have had quite a year. In January, Denise and Eric came over on New Years Eve and announced that they got engaged. On July 4th 2009, they got married. We had a beautiful wedding for them and had a lot of family attend. It was not easy for a lot of family to attend, so we think we may have a small reception this summer in Utica if it works out for Denise and Eric.

My appointements with the oncologist have been uneventful. I have been feeling a lot better. Still need to gain more strength, but I am working on that. BUT my hair is growing back. As soon as it gets a little longer, I am going to get it cut into shape. It is really surprising to me the effect of hair loss had on me. I don't think it was the fact of the loss, but it brought the cancer to the forefront. It was real.

I am very excited to decorate for Christmas this year. Last year we didn't even have a tree. Actually, I cannot believe that we are about 50 days away. YIKES....
